The first time I opened my eyes, I closed them right away. I cried. Some hands lifted me up in the sky and then put me down between two mountains of milk. I stopped crying. Then I opened my eyes for the second time of my life. I saw the most gentle light of the world: it was my Mom’s eyes!

This Sunday, it’s Mothers’ Day in Ireland ! (Did you notice it too? The Irish celebrate everything earlier !)

I’ve just reread a French book I bought a few months ago “La premiere fois que je suis nee” (the first time I was born). I heart this book! It is a moving book which talks about the cycle of life, its little moments of happiness and the first times with humour, affection and subtlety.

The first time I read it, I was teary-eyed, besides the other times too!

Happy mothers’ day!
