Birthday celebrations in a Montessori school are special. Today, in addition to home-made cupcakes, I had also dropped off pics of Juliette at birth, 1 year old, 2 years old, 3 years old and recent pictures. In her classroom, they have celebrated her birthday following a specific ritual : “The objective is to give a meaning and solemnity to the celebration. We introduce the notion of relation between the Earth and the Sun, we teach them that one year is the time it takes to the Earth to go around the Sun. We also tell them the story of their life, year by year, since they were born” Tim Seldin, form the book “How to raise an amazing child the Montessori way”. She would not have missed this birthday celebration for anything in the world! We love her school and her teachers!

Happy birthday Juliette! / Joyeux anniversaire Juliette !
